I'm so excited I finally finished my very first art doll. I had been inspired by artists like *Magweno, *Wood-Splitter-Lee and *WormsandBones for ages, but I couldn't affort those dolls. I already tried making one some years ago, but I failed terribly. I only had self-harding clay and it's just impossible to work with that.
Some time ago, I ordered super sculpey and some furs and started myself. I can't sew to save my life, but I'm still very happy with it. I hope my next dolls will be much better.
Another thing that really helped me out, was *mangakasan's amazing sculping tutorial! She makes amazing sculptures.
The doll, which I want to adopt as a new OC, has some accesoired that can be put on the body and can be removed. His name means 'invincible' his Sanskrit. The doll itself is quite small.
Here's the WIP from awhile ago;
The next one will be a dragon for one of my best friend's birthday <3 We've known eachother for about 14-15 years, so it's time for a more special present (and I have to practise!)
Do you mind my asking how you attached the fabric to the clay parts? It looks hard.
There's a piece of wire that is connected to the head and the fur is glued. I have no idea if it's the right way to do it, but it worked for me xD
